This Cadetship was established to:
· grow community agency in the design and delivery of employment and NZQA-approved programmes
· grow skills and opportunities for Pacific peoples in the aviation and its many industries
· support confident, thriving, and resilient Pacific peoples
· enhance partnerships between government and Pacific communities
All Pasifika employees in ground operations get the opportunity to complete the Certificate in Ground Operations level 3, and the Leadership in Aviation Micro-credential level 3, over a 1 year period; through a ‘Pasifika Aviation Cadetship’ to enable opportunities to pathway into high level positions in aviation, diversify into different roles on industry, or use their qualifications to fulfill future dreams.
This is currently open to JNP Aviation's Pacific employees.

Based in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty
Days with provider varies dependent on where Cadet is at within the Cadetship. Provider class and assessment days structure is provided to employee, and operations manager before commencing Cadetship.

This Cadetship is run alongside the workplace to allow learning to occur without disruption to an employees work schedule. The employer will pay the Cadet for any provider-based and fono time; and self-directed learning will be on the LMS and implementation of what they have learned in the workplace.
Online assessments via JNP Aviation Training's LMS (Moodle), workplace observational assessments and simulated practical using JNP Aviation Training's waka rererangi, aircraft.
This has been funded by MsD in partnership with MPP, and supplemented by JNP Aviation the employer.
