Ruth is a graduate of the Secondary School micro-credential in aviation ground operations and was born and raised in Tauranga. Ruth is Tongan, and is the oldest of three siblings. Ruth has a big passion for her culture and is very family oriented.

"I was very nervous because I didn't understand much about aviation but after coming to the Course more often I just became confident. My favourite experience (studying with JNPAT) was going to the Tauranga Airport Control Tower...... and the biggest things gained from JNPAT was the bonds and friendships made in class.
